Short Stories and Essays

PIQUE accepts works of fiction and narrative nonfiction of any style. We consider essays on any subject relating to queer women and nonbinary individuals in contemporary culture. All submissions must be original and unpublished. Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but please notify us if your piece has been accepted elsewhere. Please include a brief biography with your submission. Manuscripts should be no more than 3,000 words.

Profiles

Whose music should we be listening to? Whose recipes must we try? Whose novels must we read? We are open to receiving pitches for profiles. Please provide a proposal of no more than 250 words.
